{"id":972,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"23","bab_id":28.0,"english_bab_number":"28","arabic_bab_number":"28","hadith_number":"1277","our_hadith_number":38,"arabic_urn":111670,"arabic_bab_name":"باب مَنِ اسْتَعَدَّ الْكَفَنَ فِي زَمَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمْ يُنْكَرْ عَلَيْهِ","arabic_text":"فَأَخَذَهَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُحْتَاجًا إِلَيْهَا، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا وَإِنَّهَا إِزَارُهُ، فَحَسَّنَهَا فُلاَنٌ فَقَالَ اكْسُنِيهَا، مَا أَحْسَنَهَا‏.‏ قَالَ الْقَوْمُ مَا أَحْسَنْتَ، لَبِسَهَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُحْتَاجًا إِلَيْهَا، ثُمَّ سَأَلْتَهُ وَعَلِمْتَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَرُدُّ‏.‏ قَالَ إِنِّي وَاللَّهِ مَا سَأَلْتُهُ لأَلْبَسَهَا إِنَّمَا سَأَلْتُهُ لِتَكُونَ كَفَنِي‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"fa'akhadhahaa alnnabiyyu sly allh 'lyh wslm muhtaajana 'ilayhaa، fakharaja 'ilaynaa wa'innahaa 'izaaruhu، fahassanahaa fulaanun faqaala aksuniyhaa، maa 'ahsanahaa‏.‏ qaala alqawmu maa 'ahsanta، labisahaa alnnabiyyu sly allh 'lyh wslm muhtaajana 'ilayhaa، thumma sa'altahu wa'alimta 'annahu laa yaruddu‏.‏ qaala 'inniy waalllahi maa sa'altuhu l'albasahaa 'innamaa sa'altuhu litakuwna kafaniy‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":12050,"english_bab_name":"(if) somebody prepared his shroud (before his death)","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated Sahl:\n\n<p>A woman brought a woven Burda (sheet) having edging (border) to the Prophet, Then Sahl asked \nthem whether they knew what is Burda, they said that Burda is a cloak and Sahl confirmed their reply. \nThen the woman said, \"I have woven it with my own hands and I have brought it so that you may \nwear it.\" The Prophet accepted it, and at that time he was in need of it. So he came out wearing it as \nhis waist-sheet. A man praised it and said, \"Will you give it to me? How nice it is!\" The other people \nsaid, \"You have not done the right thing as the Prophet is in need of it and you have asked for it when \nyou know that he never turns down anybody's request.\" The man replied, \"By Allah, I have not asked \nfor it to wear it but to make it my shroud.\" Later it was his shroud.","english_grade":"Sahih","last_updated":null,"xrefs":""}
