{"id":6525,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"65","bab_id":2.12,"english_bab_number":"12","arabic_bab_number":"12","hadith_number":"4486","our_hadith_number":13,"arabic_urn":178140,"arabic_bab_name":"باب ‏<A id=\"q23\" name=\"q23\" href=\"javascript:openquran(1,142,142)\"><c_q23>{‏سَيَقُولُ السُّفَهَاءُ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَا وَلاَّهُمْ عَنْ قِبْلَتِهِمُ الَّتِي كَانُوا عَلَيْهَا قُلْ لِلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ‏}</c_q23></a>‏","arabic_text":"صَلَّى إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا أَوْ سَبْعَةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا، وَكَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ قِبْلَتُهُ قِبَلَ الْبَيْتِ، وَإِنَّهُ صَلَّى ـ أَوْ صَلاَّهَا ـ صَلاَةَ الْعَصْرِ، وَصَلَّى مَعَهُ قَوْمٌ، فَخَرَجَ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ كَانَ صَلَّى مَعَهُ، فَمَرَّ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ بِاللَّهِ لَقَدْ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قِبَلَ مَكَّةَ، فَدَارُوا كَمَا هُمْ قِبَلَ الْبَيْتِ، وَكَانَ الَّذِي مَاتَ عَلَى الْقِبْلَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُحَوَّلَ قِبَلَ الْبَيْتِ رِجَالٌ قُتِلُوا لَمْ نَدْرِ مَا نَقُولُ فِيهِمْ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ‏{‏وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ ‏}‏","arabic_transliteration":"sallay 'ilay bayti almaqdisi sittaha 'ashara shahrana 'aw sab'aha 'ashara shahrana، wakaana yu'jibuhu 'an takuwna qiblatuhu qibala albayti، wa'innahu sallay  'aw salaaahaa  salaaha al'asri، wasallay ma'ahu qawmun، fakharaja rajulun mimman kaana sallay ma'ahu، famarra 'alay 'ahli almasjidi wahum raaki'uwna qaala 'ashhadu bialllahi laqad sallaytu ma'a alnnabiyyi sly allh 'lyh wslm qibala makkaha، fadaaruwa kamaa hum qibala albayti، wakaana alladhiy maata 'alay alqiblahi qabla 'an tuhawwala qibala albayti rijaalun qutiluwa lam nadri maa naquwlu fiyhim، fa'anzala alllahu ‏{‏wamaa kaana alllahu liyudiy'a 'iymaanakum 'inna alllaha bialnnaasi lara'uwfun rahiymun ‏}‏","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":41680,"english_bab_name":"The Statement of Allah \"The fools (pagans, hypocrites and Jews) among the people will say, 'What has turned them (Muslims) from their Qiblah [Salat (prayer) direction (towards Jerusalem)]...\" (V.2:142)","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated Al-Bara:\n\n<p>The Prophet prayed facing Bait-ulMaqdis (i.e. Jerusalem) for sixteen or seventeen months but he \nwished that his Qibla would be the Ka`ba (at Mecca). (So Allah Revealed (2.144) and he offered `Asr \nprayers(in his Mosque facing Ka`ba at Mecca) and some people prayed with him. A man from among \nthose who had prayed with him, went out and passed by some people offering prayer in another \nmosque, and they were in the state of bowing. He said, \"I, (swearing by Allah,) testify that I have \nprayed with the Prophet facing Mecca.\" Hearing that, they turned their faces to the Ka`ba while they \nwere still bowing. Some men had died before the Qibla was changed towards the Ka`ba. They had \nbeen killed and we did not know what to say about them (i.e. whether their prayers towards Jerusalem \nwere accepted or not). So Allah revealed:-- \"And Allah would never make your faith (i.e. prayer) to be \nlost (i.e. your prayers offered (towards Jerusalem).
