{"id":6492,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"97","bab_id":51.0,"english_bab_number":"51","arabic_bab_number":"51","hadith_number":"7543","our_hadith_number":168,"arabic_urn":177250,"arabic_bab_name":"باب مَا يَجُوزُ مِنْ تَفْسِيرِ التَّوْرَاةِ وَغَيْرِهَا مِنْ كُتُبِ اللَّهِ بِالْعَرَبِيَّةِ وَغَيْرِهَا","arabic_text":"مَا تَصْنَعُونَ بِهِمَا ‏\"‏‏.‏ قَالُوا نُسَخِّمُ وُجُوهَهُمَا وَنُخْزِيهِمَا‏.‏ قَالَ ‏\"‏ ‏{‏فَأْتُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ‏}‏ ‏\"‏‏.‏ فَجَاءُوا فَقَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِمَّنْ يَرْضَوْنَ يَا أَعْوَرُ اقْرَأْ‏.‏ فَقَرَأَ حَتَّى انْتَهَى عَلَى مَوْضِعٍ مِنْهَا فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهِ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏\"‏ ارْفَعْ يَدَكَ ‏\"‏‏.‏ فَرَفَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا فِيهِ آيَةُ الرَّجْمِ تَلُوحُ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ عَلَيْهِمَا الرَّجْمَ‏.‏ وَلَكِنَّا نُكَاتِمُهُ بَيْنَنَا‏.‏ فَأَمَرَ بِهِمَا فَرُجِمَا، فَرَأَيْتُهُ يُجَانِئُ عَلَيْهَا الْحِجَارَةَ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"maa tasna'uwna bihimaa ‏\"‏‏.‏ qaaluwa nusakhkhimu wujuwhahumaa wanukhziyhimaa‏.‏ qaala ‏\"‏ ‏{‏fa'tuwa bialttawraahi faatluwhaa 'in kuntum saadiqiyna‏}‏ ‏\"‏‏.‏ fajaa'uwa faqaaluwa lirajulin mimman yardawna yaa 'a'waru aqra'‏.‏ faqara'a hattay antahay 'alay mawdi'in minhaa fawada'a yadahu 'alayhi‏.‏ qaala ‏\"‏ arfa' yadaka ‏\"‏‏.‏ farafa'a yadahu fa'idhaa fiyhi 'aayahu alrrajmi taluwhu faqaala yaa muhammadu 'inna 'alayhimaa alrrajma‏.‏ walakinnaa nukaatimuhu baynanaa‏.‏ fa'amara bihimaa farujimaa، fara'aytuhu yujaani'u 'alayhaa alhijaaraha‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":70920,"english_bab_name":"What is allowed as regards the interpretation of the Taurat and other Holy Books","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated Ibn `Umar:\n\n<p>A Jew and Jewess were brought to the Prophet on a charge of committing an illegal sexual \nintercourse. The Prophet asked the Jews, \"What do you (usually) do with them?\" They said, \"We \nblacken their faces and disgrace them.\" He said, \"Bring here the Torah and recite it, if you are \ntruthful.\" They (fetched it and) came and asked a one-eyed man to recite. He went on reciting till he \nreached a portion on which he put his hand. The Prophet said, \"Lift up your hand!\" He lifted his hand \nup and behold, there appeared the verse of Ar-Rajm (stoning of the adulterers to death). Then he said, \n\"O Muhammad! They should be stoned to death but we conceal this Divine Law among ourselves.\" \nThen the Prophet ordered that the two sinners be stoned to death and, and they were stoned to death, \nand I saw the man protecting the woman from the stones.
