{"id":6417,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"97","bab_id":31.0,"english_bab_number":"31","arabic_bab_number":"31","hadith_number":"7467","our_hadith_number":93,"arabic_urn":176440,"arabic_bab_name":"باب فِي الْمَشِيئَةِ وَالإِرَادَةِ","arabic_text":"إِنَّمَا بَقَاؤُكُمْ فِيمَا سَلَفَ قَبْلَكُمْ مِنَ الأُمَمِ، كَمَا بَيْنَ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ، أُعْطِيَ أَهْلُ التَّوْرَاةِ التَّوْرَاةَ، فَعَمِلُوا بِهَا حَتَّى انْتَصَفَ النَّهَارُ، ثُمَّ عَجَزُوا، فَأُعْطُوا قِيرَاطًا قِيرَاطًا، ثُمَّ أُعْطِيَ أَهْلُ الإِنْجِيلِ الإِنْجِيلَ، فَعَمِلُوا بِهِ حَتَّى صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ، ثُمَّ عَجَزُوا، فَأُعْطُوا قِيرَاطًا قِيرَاطًا، ثُمَّ أُعْطِيتُمُ الْقُرْآنَ فَعَمِلْتُمْ بِهِ حَتَّى غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ، فَأُعْطِيتُمْ قِيرَاطَيْنِ قِيرَاطَيْنِ، قَالَ أَهْلُ التَّوْرَاةِ رَبَّنَا هَؤُلاَءِ أَقَلُّ عَمَلاً وَأَكْثَرُ أَجْرًا‏.‏ قَالَ هَلْ ظَلَمْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَجْرِكُمْ مِنْ شَىْءٍ قَالُوا لاَ‏.‏ فَقَالَ فَذَلِكَ فَضْلِي أُوتِيهِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ ‏\"","arabic_transliteration":"'innamaa baqaa'ukum fiymaa salafa qablakum mina al'umami، kamaa bayna salaahi al'asri 'ilay ghuruwbi alshshamsi، 'u'tiya 'ahlu alttawraahi alttawraaha، fa'amiluwa bihaa hattay antasafa alnnahaaru، thumma 'ajazuwa، fa'u'tuwa qiyraatana qiyraatana، thumma 'u'tiya 'ahlu al'injiyli al'injiyla، fa'amiluwa bihi hattay salaahi al'asri، thumma 'ajazuwa، fa'u'tuwa qiyraatana qiyraatana، thumma 'u'tiytumu alqur'aana fa'amiltum bihi hattay ghuruwbi alshshamsi، fa'u'tiytum qiyraatayni qiyraatayni، qaala 'ahlu alttawraahi rabbanaa ha'ulaa'i 'aqallu 'amalaan wa'aktharu 'ajrana‏.‏ qaala hal zalamtukum min 'ajrikum min shay'in qaaluwa laa‏.‏ faqaala fadhalika fadliy 'uwtiyhi man 'ashaa'u ‏\"","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":70180,"english_bab_name":"(Allah’s) Wish and Will","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:\n\n<p>I heard Allah's Apostle while he was standing on the pulpit, saying, \"The remaining period of your \nstay (on the earth) in comparison to the nations before you, is like the period between the `Asr prayer \nand sunset. The people of the Torah were given the Torah and they acted upon it till midday, and then \nthey were worn out and were given for their labor, one Qirat each. Then the people of the Gospel were \ngiven the Gospel and they acted upon it till the time of the `Asr prayer, and then they were worn out \nand were given (for their labor), one Qirat each. Then you people were given the Qur'an and you acted \nupon it till sunset and so you were given two Qirats each (double the reward of the previous nations).\" \nThen the people of the Torah said, 'O our Lord! These people have done a little labor (much less than \nwe) but have taken a greater reward.' Allah said, 'Have I withheld anything from your reward?'
