{"id":63,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"3","bab_id":6.0,"english_bab_number":"6","arabic_bab_number":"6","hadith_number":"63","our_hadith_number":5,"arabic_urn":100630,"arabic_bab_name":"باب مَا جَاءَ فِي الْعِلْمِ","arabic_text":"قَدْ أَجَبْتُكَ ‏\"‏‏.‏ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِنِّي سَائِلُكَ فَمُشَدِّدٌ عَلَيْكَ فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَلاَ تَجِدْ عَلَىَّ فِي نَفْسِكَ‏.‏ فَقَالَ ‏\"‏ سَلْ عَمَّا بَدَا لَكَ ‏\"‏‏.‏ فَقَالَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَبِّكَ وَرَبِّ مَنْ قَبْلَكَ، آللَّهُ أَرْسَلَكَ إِلَى النَّاسِ كُلِّهِمْ فَقَالَ ‏\"‏ اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ ‏\"‏‏.‏ قَالَ أَنْشُدُكَ بِاللَّهِ، آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسَ فِي الْيَوْمِ وَاللَّيْلَةِ قَالَ ‏\"‏ اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ ‏\"‏‏.‏ قَالَ أَنْشُدُكَ بِاللَّهِ، آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ أَنْ نَصُومَ هَذَا الشَّهْرَ مِنَ السَّنَةِ قَالَ ‏\"‏ اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ ‏\"‏‏.‏ قَالَ أَنْشُدُكَ بِاللَّهِ، آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ هَذِهِ الصَّدَقَةَ مِنْ أَغْنِيَائِنَا فَتَقْسِمَهَا عَلَى فُقَرَائِنَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏\"‏ اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ ‏\"‏‏.‏ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ آمَنْتُ بِمَا جِئْتَ بِهِ، وَأَنَا رَسُولُ مَنْ وَرَائِي مِنْ قَوْمِي، وَأَنَا ضِمَامُ بْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ أَخُو بَنِي سَعْدِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"qad 'ajabtuka ‏\"‏‏.‏ faqaala alrrajulu lilnnabiyyi sly allh 'lyh wslm 'inniy saa'iluka famushaddidun 'alayka fiy almas'alahi falaa tajid 'alayya fiy nafsika‏.‏ faqaala ‏\"‏ sal 'ammaa badaa laka ‏\"‏‏.‏ faqaala 'as'aluka birabbika warabbi man qablaka، 'aalllahu 'arsalaka 'ilay alnnaasi kullihim faqaala ‏\"‏ alllahumma na'am ‏\"‏‏.‏ qaala 'anshuduka bialllahi، 'aalllahu 'amaraka 'an nusalliya alssalawaati alkhamsa fiy alyawmi waalllaylahi qaala ‏\"‏ alllahumma na'am ‏\"‏‏.‏ qaala 'anshuduka bialllahi، 'aalllahu 'amaraka 'an nasuwma hadhaa alshshahra mina alssanahi qaala ‏\"‏ alllahumma na'am ‏\"‏‏.‏ qaala 'anshuduka bialllahi، 'aalllahu 'amaraka 'an ta'khudha hadhihi alssadaqaha min 'aghniyaa'inaa fataqsimahaa 'alay fuqaraa'inaa faqaala alnnabiyyu sly allh 'lyh wslm ‏\"‏ alllahumma na'am ‏\"‏‏.‏ faqaala alrrajulu 'aamantu bimaa ji'ta bihi، wa'anaa rasuwlu man waraa'iy min qawmiy، wa'anaa dimaamu bnu tha'labaha 'akhuw baniy sa'di bni bakrin‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":630,"english_bab_name":"What is said about knowledge","english_text":"<p>\r\nNarrated Anas bin Malik:\r\n\r\n<p>While we were sitting with the Prophet in the mosque, a man came riding on a camel. He made his \r\ncamel kneel down in the mosque, tied its foreleg and then said: \"Who amongst you is Muhammad?\" \r\nAt that time the Prophet was sitting amongst us (his companions) leaning on his arm. We replied, \r\n\"This white man reclining on his arm.\" The man then addressed him, \"O Son of `Abdul Muttalib.\" \r\nThe Prophet said, \"I am here to answer your questions.\" The man said to the Prophet, \"I want to ask \r\nyou something and will be hard in questioning. So do not get angry.\" The Prophet said, \"Ask whatever \r\nyou want.\" The man said, \"I ask you by your Lord, and the Lord of those who were before you, has \r\nAllah sent you as an Apostle to all the mankind?\" The Prophet replied, \"By Allah, yes.\" The man \r\nfurther said, \"I ask you by Allah. Has Allah ordered you to offer five prayers in a day and night (24 \r\nhours).? He replied, \"By Allah, Yes.\" The man further said, \"I ask you by Allah! Has Allah ordered \r\nyou to observe fasts during this month of the year (i.e. Ramadan)?\" He replied, \"By Allah, Yes.\" The \r\nman further said, \"I ask you by Allah. Has Allah ordered you to take Zakat (obligatory charity) from \r\nour rich people and distribute it amongst our poor people?\" The Prophet replied, \"By Allah, yes.\" \r\nThereupon that man said, \"I have believed in all that with which you have been sent, and I have been \r\nsent by my people as a messenger, and I am Dimam bin Tha`laba from the brothers of Bani Sa`d bin \r\nBakr.\"","english_grade":"Sahih","last_updated":null,"xrefs":""}
