{"id":545,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"9","bab_id":17.0,"english_bab_number":"17","arabic_bab_number":"17","hadith_number":"557","our_hadith_number":34,"arabic_urn":105560,"arabic_bab_name":"باب مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ","arabic_text":"إِنَّمَا بَقَاؤُكُمْ فِيمَا سَلَفَ قَبْلَكُمْ مِنَ الأُمَمِ كَمَا بَيْنَ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ، أُوتِيَ أَهْلُ التَّوْرَاةِ التَّوْرَاةَ فَعَمِلُوا حَتَّى إِذَا انْتَصَفَ النَّهَارُ عَجَزُوا، فَأُعْطُوا قِيرَاطًا قِيرَاطًا، ثُمَّ أُوتِيَ أَهْلُ الإِنْجِيلِ الإِنْجِيلَ فَعَمِلُوا إِلَى صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ، ثُمَّ عَجَزُوا، فَأُعْطُوا قِيرَاطًا قِيرَاطًا، ثُمَّ أُوتِينَا الْقُرْآنَ فَعَمِلْنَا إِلَى غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ، فَأُعْطِينَا قِيرَاطَيْنِ قِيرَاطَيْنِ، فَقَالَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابَيْنِ أَىْ رَبَّنَا أَعْطَيْتَ هَؤُلاَءِ قِيرَاطَيْنِ قِيرَاطَيْنِ، وَأَعْطَيْتَنَا قِيرَاطًا قِيرَاطًا، وَنَحْنُ كُنَّا أَكْثَرَ عَمَلاً، قَالَ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ هَلْ ظَلَمْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَجْرِكُمْ مِنْ شَىْءٍ قَالُوا لاَ، قَالَ فَهْوَ فَضْلِي أُوتِيهِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ ‏\"","arabic_transliteration":"'innamaa baqaa'ukum fiymaa salafa qablakum mina al'umami kamaa bayna salaahi al'asri 'ilay ghuruwbi alshshamsi، 'uwtiya 'ahlu alttawraahi alttawraaha fa'amiluwa hattay 'idhaa antasafa alnnahaaru 'ajazuwa، fa'u'tuwa qiyraatana qiyraatana، thumma 'uwtiya 'ahlu al'injiyli al'injiyla fa'amiluwa 'ilay salaahi al'asri، thumma 'ajazuwa، fa'u'tuwa qiyraatana qiyraatana، thumma 'uwtiynaa alqur'aana fa'amilnaa 'ilay ghuruwbi alshshamsi، fa'u'tiynaa qiyraatayni qiyraatayni، faqaala 'ahlu alkitaabayni 'ay rabbanaa 'a'tayta ha'ulaa'i qiyraatayni qiyraatayni، wa'a'taytanaa qiyraatana qiyraatana، wanahnu kunnaa 'akthara 'amalaan، qaala qaala alllahu 'azza wajalla hal zalamtukum min 'ajrikum min shay'in qaaluwa laa، qaala fahwa fadliy 'uwtiyhi man 'ashaa'u ‏\"","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":5350,"english_bab_name":"Whoever got (or was able to offer) only one Rak'a of the 'Asr prayer before sunset","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated Salim bin `Abdullah:\n\n<p>My father said, \"I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'The period of your stay as compared to the previous \nnations is like the period equal to the time between the `Asr prayer and sunset. The people of the \nTorah were given the Torah and they acted (upon it) till midday then they were exhausted and were \ngiven one Qirat (of gold) each. And then the people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they \nacted (upon it) till the `Asr prayer then they were exhausted and were! given one Qirat each. And then \nwe were given the Qur'an and we acted (upon it) till sunset and we were given two Qirats each. On \nthat the people of both the scriptures said, 'O our Lord! You have given them two Qirats and given us \none Qirat, though we have worked more than they.' Allah said, 'Have I usurped some of your right?' \nThey said, 'No.' Allah said: \"That is my blessing I bestow upon whomsoever I wish.\"","english_grade":"Sahih","last_updated":null,"xrefs":""}
