{"id":3941,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"69","bab_id":13.0,"english_bab_number":"13","arabic_bab_number":"13","hadith_number":"5368","our_hadith_number":18,"arabic_urn":145690,"arabic_bab_name":"باب نَفَقَةِ الْمُعْسِرِ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ","arabic_text":"فَأَعْتِقْ رَقَبَةً ‏\"‏‏.‏ قَالَ لَيْسَ عِنْدِي‏.‏ قَالَ ‏\"‏ فَصُمْ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ ‏\"‏‏.‏ قَالَ لاَ أَسْتَطِيعُ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏\"‏ فَأَطْعِمْ سِتِّينَ مِسْكِينًا ‏\"‏‏.‏ قَالَ لاَ أَجِدُ‏.‏ فَأُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِعَرَقٍ فِيهِ تَمْرٌ فَقَالَ ‏\"‏ أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ ‏\"‏‏.‏ قَالَ هَا أَنَا ذَا‏.‏ قَالَ ‏\"‏ تَصَدَّقْ بِهَذَا ‏\"‏‏.‏ قَالَ عَلَى أَحْوَجَ مِنَّا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَوَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ مَا بَيْنَ لاَبَتَيْهَا أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ أَحْوَجُ مِنَّا فَضَحِكَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى بَدَتْ أَنْيَابُهُ قَالَ ‏\"‏ فَأَنْتُمْ إِذًا ‏\"","arabic_transliteration":"fa'a'tiq raqabahan ‏\"‏‏.‏ qaala laysa 'indiy‏.‏ qaala ‏\"‏ fasum shahrayni mutataabi'ayni ‏\"‏‏.‏ qaala laa 'astatiy'u‏.‏ qaala ‏\"‏ fa'at'im sittiyna miskiynana ‏\"‏‏.‏ qaala laa 'ajidu‏.‏ fa'utiya alnnabiyyu sly allh 'lyh wslm bi'araqin fiyhi tamrun faqaala ‏\"‏ 'ayna alssaa'ilu ‏\"‏‏.‏ qaala haa 'anaa dhaa‏.‏ qaala ‏\"‏ tasaddaq bihadhaa ‏\"‏‏.‏ qaala 'alay 'ahwaja minnaa yaa rasuwla alllahi fawaalladhiy ba'athaka bialhaqqi maa bayna laabatayhaa 'ahlu baytin 'ahwaju minnaa fadahika alnnabiyyu sly allh 'lyh wslm hattay badat 'anyaabuhu qaala ‏\"‏ fa'antum 'idhana ‏\"","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":50230,"english_bab_name":"The expenditure of a poor man on his family","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated Abu Huraira:\n\n<p>A man came to the Prophet and said, \"I am ruined!\" The Prophet said, \"Why?\" He said, \"I had sexual \nintercourse with my wife while fasting (in the month of Ramadan).\" The Prophet said to him, \n\"Manumit a slave (as expiation).\" He replied, \"I cannot afford that.\" The Prophet said, \"Then fast for \ntwo successive months.\" He said, \"I cannot.\" The Prophet said, \"Then feed sixty poor persons.\" He \nsaid, \"I have nothing to do that.\" In the meantime a basket full of dates was brought to the Prophet . \nHe said, \"Where is the questioner.\" The man said, \"I am here.\" The Prophet said (to him), \"Give this \n(basket of dates) in charity (as expiation).\" He said, \"O Allah's Apostle! Shall I give it to poorer \npeople than us? By Him Who sent you with the Truth, there is no family between Medina's two \nmountains poorer than us.\" The Prophet smiled till his pre-molar teeth became visible.
