{"id":38934,"collection_id":14,"collection":"ahmad","collection_name":"Musnad Ahmad","book_number":"4","bab_id":0.0,"english_bab_number":null,"arabic_bab_number":null,"hadith_number":"439","our_hadith_number":36,"arabic_urn":5304120,"arabic_bab_name":null,"arabic_text":"حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْفَضْلِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، قَالَ دَعَا عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ نَاسًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيهِمْ عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَائِلُكُمْ وَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ تَصْدُقُونِي نَشَدْتُكُمْ اللَّهَ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُؤْثِرُ قُرَيْشًا عَلَى سَائِرِ النَّاسِ وَيُؤْثِرُ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ عَلَى سَائِرِ قُرَيْشٍ فَسَكَتَ الْقَوْمُ فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ لَوْ أَنَّ بِيَدِي مَفَاتِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ لَأَعْطَيْتُهَا بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ حَتَّى يَدْخُلُوا مِنْ عِنْدِ آخِرِهِمْ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى طَلْحَةَ وَالزُّبَيْرِ فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكُمَا عَنْهُ يَعْنِي عَمَّارًا أَقْبَلْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آخِذًا بِيَدِي نَتَمَشَّى فِي الْبَطْحَاءِ حَتَّى أَتَى عَلَى أَبِيهِ وَأُمِّهِ وَعَلَيْهِ يُعَذَّبُونَ فَقَالَ أَبُو عَمَّارٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الدَّهْرَ هَكَذَا فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اصْبِرْ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِآلِ يَاسِرٍ وَقَدْ فَعَلْتُ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"haddathanaa 'abdu alssamadi، haddathanaa alqaasimu ya'niy abna alfadli، haddathanaa 'amruw bnu murraha، 'an saalimi bni 'abiy alja'di، qaala da'aa 'uthmaanu radiya alllahu 'anhu naasana min 'ashaabi rasuwli alllahi sallay alllahu 'alayhi wasallama fiyhim 'ammaaru bnu yaasirin faqaala 'inniy saa'ilukum wa'inniy 'uhibbu 'an tasduquwniy nashadtukum alllaha 'ata'lamuwna 'anna rasuwla alllahi sallay alllahu 'alayhi wasallama kaana yu'thiru qurayshana 'alay saa'iri alnnaasi wayu'thiru baniy haashimin 'alay saa'iri qurayshin fasakata alqawmu faqaala 'uthmaanu radiya alllahu 'anhu law 'anna biyadiy mafaatiyha aljannahi la'a'taytuhaa baniy 'umayyaha hattay yadkhuluwa min 'indi 'aakhirihim faba'atha 'ilay talhaha waalzzubayri faqaala 'uthmaanu radiya alllahu 'anhu 'alaa 'uhaddithukumaa 'anhu ya'niy 'ammaarana 'aqbaltu ma'a rasuwli alllahi sallay alllahu 'alayhi wasallama 'aakhidhana biyadiy natamashshay fiy albathaa'i hattay 'atay 'alay 'abiyhi wa'ummihi wa'alayhi yu'adhdhabuwna faqaala 'abuw 'ammaarin yaa rasuwla alllahi alddahra hakadhaa faqaala lahu alnnabiyyu sallay alllahu 'alayhi wasallama asbir thumma qaala alllahumma aghfir li'aali yaasirin waqad fa'altu‏.‏","arabic_grade":"","english_urn":5004390,"english_bab_name":null,"english_text":"It was narrated that Salim bin Abul-Ja`d said, `Uthman (رضي الله عنه) called some of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), among whom was ‘Ammar bin Yasir, and said: I am going to ask you something and I would like you to be honest with me. I adjure you by Allah, do you know that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to give Quraish precedence over all people and he gave precedence to Banu Hashim over all of Quraish? The people fell silent, then `Uthman said: If I had the keys of Paradise in my hand, I would have given them to Banu Umayyah [his own clan] so that they could all, down to the last man, enter it. Then he sent for Talhah and az-Zubair. And ‘Uthman (رضي الله عنه) said: Should I tell you about him - i.e. Ammar? I was walking with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) , who was holding my hand, and we were walking in al-Batha`, until he came to where his [`Ammar`s] father and mother were being tortured. ‘Ammar`s father said: O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), are we going to be like this forever?
