{"id":38660,"collection_id":14,"collection":"ahmad","collection_name":"Musnad Ahmad","book_number":"2","bab_id":0.0,"english_bab_number":null,"arabic_bab_number":null,"hadith_number":"144","our_hadith_number":61,"arabic_urn":5301380,"arabic_bab_name":null,"arabic_text":"حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ فِي أَرْضِ الرُّومِ فَوُجِدَ فِي مَتَاعِ رَجُلٍ غُلُولٌ فَسَأَلَ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ وَجَدْتُمْ فِي مَتَاعِهِ غُلُولًا فَأَحْرِقُوهُ قَالَ وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ وَاضْرِبُوهُ قَالَ فَأَخْرَجَ مَتَاعَهُ فِي السُّوقِ قَالَ فَوَجَدَ فِيهِ مُصْحَفًا فَسَأَلَ سَالِمًا فَقَالَ بِعْهُ وَتَصَدَّقْ بِثَمَنِهِ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"haddathanaa 'abuw sa'iydin، haddathanaa 'abdu al'aziyzi bnu muhammadin، haddathanaa saalihu bnu muhammadi bni zaa'idaha، 'an saalimi bni 'abdi alllahi، 'annahu kaana ma'a maslamaha bni 'abdi almaliki fiy 'ardi alrruwmi fawujida fiy mataa'i rajulin ghuluwlun fasa'ala saalima bna 'abdi alllahi faqaala haddathaniy 'abdu alllahi 'an 'umara radiya alllahu 'anhu 'anna rasuwla alllahi sallay alllahu 'alayhi wasallama qaala man wajadtum fiy mataa'ihi ghuluwlana fa'ahriquwhu qaala wa'ahsabuhu qaala waadribuwhu qaala fa'akhraja mataa'ahu fiy alssuwqi qaala fawajada fiyhi mushafana fasa'ala saalimana faqaala bi'hu watasaddaq bithamanihi‏.‏","arabic_grade":"","english_urn":5001440,"english_bab_name":null,"english_text":"It was narrated from Salim bin 'Abdullah that he was with Maslamah bin 'Abdul-­Malik in the land of the Byzantines, and they found some stolen booty with a man's goods. He asked Salim bin ‘Abdullah and he said: `Abdullah bin 'Umar toid me from ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:\n\n“If you find stolen booty with a man, then burn it ­ and I think he said: and beat him.” So he took his property out to the market and found a Mushaf among his goods.
