{"id":38243,"collection_id":13,"collection":"adab","collection_name":"Al-Adab Al-Mufrad","book_number":"41","bab_id":436.0,"english_bab_number":"436","arabic_bab_number":"436","hadith_number":"962","our_hadith_number":11,"arabic_urn":2309600,"arabic_bab_name":"بَابُ","arabic_text":"حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَرَّ فِي السُّوقِ دَاخِلاً مِنْ بَعْضِ الْعَالِيَةِ وَالنَّاسُ كَنَفَيْهِ، فَمَرَّ بِجَدْيٍ أَسَكَّ، فَتَنَاوَلَهُ فَأَخَذَ بِأُذُنِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ‏:‏ أَيُّكُمْ يُحِبُّ أَنَّ هَذَا لَهُ بِدِرْهَمٍ‏؟‏ فَقَالُوا‏:‏ مَا نُحِبُّ أَنَّهُ لَنَا بِشَيْءٍ، وَمَا نَصْنَعُ بِهِ‏؟‏ قَالَ‏:‏ أَتُحِبُّونَ أَنَّهُ لَكُمْ‏؟‏ قَالُوا‏:‏ لاَ، قَالَ ذَلِكَ لَهُمْ ثَلاَثًا، فَقَالُوا‏:‏ لاَ وَاللَّهِ، لَوْ كَانَ حَيًّا لَكَانَ عَيْبًا فِيهِ أَنَّهُ أَسَكُّ، وَالأَسَكُّ‏:‏ الَّذِي لَيْسَ لَهُ أُذُنَانِ، فَكَيْفَ وَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ‏؟‏ قَالَ‏:‏ فَوَاللَّهِ، لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ مَنْ هَذَا عَلَيْكُمْ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"haddathanaa 'abdu al'aziyzi bnu 'abdi allhi qaala‏:‏ haddathaniy alddaraawardiyyu، 'an ja'farin، 'an 'abiyhi، 'an jaabiri bni 'abdi allhi، 'anna rasuwla allhi sly allh 'lyh wslm marra fiy alssuwqi daakhilaan min ba'di al'aaliyahi waalnnaasu kanafayhi، famarra bijadyin 'asakka، fatanaawalahu fa'akhadha bi'udhunihi thumma qaala‏:‏ 'ayyukum yuhibbu 'anna hadhaa lahu bidirhamin‏؟‏ faqaaluwa‏:‏ maa nuhibbu 'annahu lanaa bishay'in، wamaa nasna'u bihi‏؟‏ qaala‏:‏ 'atuhibbuwna 'annahu lakum‏؟‏ qaaluwa‏:‏ laa، qaala dhalika lahum thalaathana، faqaaluwa‏:‏ laa waalllahi، law kaana hayyana lakaana 'aybana fiyhi 'annahu 'asakku، waal'asakku‏:‏ alladhiy laysa lahu 'udhunaani، fakayfa wahuwa mayyitun‏؟‏ qaala‏:‏ fawaalllahi، lalddunyaa 'ahwanu 'alay allhi man hadhaa 'alaykum‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صـحـيـح","english_urn":2209160,"english_bab_name":"Chapter","english_text":"Jabir ibn 'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah\nbless him and grant him peace, passed through the market, entering from\npart of the high part of the city and the people were on both sides of\nhim. He passed by a dead one-eared goat and reached out and took its ear.\nThen he said, \"Who would like to buy this for a dirham?\" They said, \"Why\nwould we want it when it is worthless? What would we do with it?\" He said,\n\"Would you like to have it?\" \"No,\" they replied. He asked them that three\ntimes and they said, \"No, by Allah! If it were alive, it would have a defect\nas it only has one ear. Why would we want it when it is dead?\" The Prophet\nsaid, \"By Allah, this world is less in the sight of Allah than this goat\nis to you.\"","english_grade":"Sahih","last_updated":null,"xrefs":""}
