{"id":37515,"collection_id":13,"collection":"adab","collection_name":"Al-Adab Al-Mufrad","book_number":"9","bab_id":93.0,"english_bab_number":"93","arabic_bab_number":"93","hadith_number":"178","our_hadith_number":23,"arabic_urn":2301770,"arabic_bab_name":"بَابُ مَنْ لَطَمَ عَبْدَهُ فَلْيُعْتِقْهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ إِيجَابٍ","arabic_text":"حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ قَالَ‏:‏ لَطَمْتُ مَوْلًى لَنَا فَفَرَّ، فَدَعَانِي أَبِي فَقَالَ لَهُ‏:‏ اقْتَصَّ، كُنَّا وَلَدَ مُقَرِّنٍ سَبْعَةً، لَنَا خَادِمٌ، فَلَطَمَهَا أَحَدُنَا، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ‏:‏ مُرْهُمْ فَلْيُعْتِقُوهَا، فَقِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ خَادِمٌ غَيْرَهَا، قَالَ‏:‏ فَلْيَسْتَخْدِمُوهَا فَإِذَا اسْتَغْنَوْا خَلُّوا سَبِيلَهَا‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"haddathanaa musaddadun، qaala‏:‏ haddathanaa yahyay bnu sa'iydin، 'an sufyaana qaala‏:‏ haddathaniy salamahu bnu kuhaylin qaala‏:‏ haddathaniy mu'aawiyahu bnu suwaydi bni muqarrinin qaala‏:‏ latamtu mawlany lanaa fafarra، fada'aaniy 'abiy faqaala lahu‏:‏ aqtassa، kunnaa walada muqarrinin sab'ahan، lanaa khaadimun، falatamahaa 'ahadunaa، fadhukira dhalika lilnnabiyyi sly allh 'lyh wslm faqaala‏:‏ murhum falyu'tiquwhaa، faqiyla lilnnabiyyi sly allh 'lyh wslm‏:‏ laysa lahum khaadimun ghayrahaa، qaala‏:‏ falyastakhdimuwhaa fa'idhaa astaghnawa khalluwa sabiylahaa‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صـحـيـح","english_urn":2201790,"english_bab_name":"Someone who slaps his slave should free him even","english_text":"Mu'awiya ibn Muqarrin said, \"I slapped a mawla of mine and he fled.\nThen my father called me and said, 'I will tell you a story. We, the sons\nof Muqarrin, were seven, and we had one servant. Then one of us slapped\nher and that was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him\nand grant him peace. He said, 'Order them to set her free.' The Prophet,\nmay Allah bless him and grant him peace, was told. 'She is the only servant\nthey have.'
