{"id":37408,"collection_id":13,"collection":"adab","collection_name":"Al-Adab Al-Mufrad","book_number":"2","bab_id":37.0,"english_bab_number":"37","arabic_bab_number":"37","hadith_number":"71","our_hadith_number":25,"arabic_urn":2300710,"arabic_bab_name":"بَابُ صِلَةِ ذِي الرَّحِمِ الْمُشْرِكِ وَالْهَدِيَّةِ","arabic_text":"حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رَأَى عُمَرُ حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ فَقَالَ‏:‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، لَوِ اشْتَرَيْتَ هَذِهِ، فَلَبِسْتَهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، وَلِلْوُفُودِ إِذَا أَتَوْكَ، فَقَالَ‏:‏ يَا عُمَرُ، إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ هَذِهِ مَنْ لاَ خَلاَقَ لَهُ، ثُمَّ أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْهَا حُلَلٌ، فَأَهْدَى إِلَى عُمَرَ مِنْهَا حُلَّةً، فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ‏:‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، بَعَثْتَ إِلَيَّ هَذِهِ، وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُكَ قُلْتَ فِيهَا مَا قُلْتَ، قَالَ‏:‏ إِنِّي لَمْ أُهْدِهَا لَكَ لِتَلْبَسَهَا، إِنَّمَا أَهْدَيْتُهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَبِيعَهَا أَوْ لِتَكْسُوَهَا، فَأَهْدَاهَا عُمَرُ لأَخٍ لَهُ مِنْ أُمِّهِ مُشْرِكٍ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"haddathanaa muhammadu bnu salaamin، qaala‏:‏ 'akhbaranaa 'abdahu، 'an 'ubaydi allhi، 'an naafi'in، 'ani abni 'umara، ra'ay 'umaru hullahan siyaraa'a faqaala‏:‏ yaa rasuwla allhi، lawi ashtarayta hadhihi، falabistahaa yawma aljumu'ahi، walilwufuwdi 'idhaa 'atawka، faqaala‏:‏ yaa 'umaru، 'innamaa yalbasu hadhihi man laa khalaaqa lahu، thumma 'uhdiya lilnnabiyyi sly allh 'lyh wslm minhaa hulalun، fa'ahday 'ilay 'umara minhaa hullahan، fajaa'a 'umaru 'ilay rasuwli allhi sly allh 'lyh wslm faqaala‏:‏ yaa rasuwla allhi، ba'athta 'ilayya hadhihi، waqad sami'tuka qulta fiyhaa maa qulta، qaala‏:‏ 'inniy lam 'uhdihaa laka litalbasahaa، 'innamaa 'ahdaytuhaa 'ilayka litabiy'ahaa 'aw litaksuwahaa، fa'ahdaahaa 'umaru l'akhin lahu min 'ummihi mushrikin‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صـحـيـح","english_urn":2200720,"english_bab_name":"Maintaining ties of kinship with the idolater and giving","english_text":"Ibn 'Umar said, \"'Umar saw a silk robe for sale. He said, 'Messenger\nof Allah, would you buy this robe and wear it on Jumu'a and when delegations\nvisit you?' He replied, 'Only a person who has no portion in the Next World\ncould wear this.' Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant\nhim peace, was given some robes made of the same material. He sent one of\nthe robes to 'Umar. 'Umar exclaimed, 'How can I wear it when you said what\nyou said about it?' The Prophet replied, 'I did not give it to you so that\nyou could wear it. You can sell it or give it to someone.'
