{"id":3501,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"64","bab_id":77.0,"english_bab_number":"77","arabic_bab_number":"77","hadith_number":"4409","our_hadith_number":431,"arabic_urn":140390,"arabic_bab_name":"باب حَجَّةُ الْوَدَاعِ","arabic_text":"وَالثُّلُثُ كَثِيرٌ، إِنَّكَ أَنْ تَذَرَ وَرَثَتَكَ أَغْنِيَاءَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ تَذَرَهُمْ عَالَةً يَتَكَفَّفُونَ النَّاسَ، وَلَسْتَ تُنْفِقُ نَفَقَةً تَبْتَغِي بِهَا وَجْهَ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ أُجِرْتَ بِهَا، حَتَّى اللُّقْمَةَ تَجْعَلُهَا فِي فِي امْرَأَتِكَ ‏\"‏‏.‏ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ آأُخَلَّفُ بَعْدَ أَصْحَابِي قَالَ ‏\"‏ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تُخَلَّفَ فَتَعْمَلَ عَمَلاً تَبْتَغِي بِهِ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ ازْدَدْتَ بِهِ دَرَجَةً وَرِفْعَةً، وَلَعَلَّكَ تُخَلَّفُ حَتَّى يَنْتَفِعَ بِكَ أَقْوَامٌ وَيُضَرَّ بِكَ آخَرُونَ، اللَّهُمَّ أَمْضِ لأَصْحَابِي هِجْرَتَهُمْ، وَلاَ تَرُدَّهُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِهِمْ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"waalththuluthu kathiyrun، 'innaka 'an tadhara warathataka 'aghniyaa'a khayrun min 'an tadharahum 'aalahan yatakaffafuwna alnnaasa، walasta tunfiqu nafaqahan tabtaghiy bihaa wajha alllahi 'ilaaa 'ujirta bihaa، hattay allluqmaha taj'aluhaa fiy fiy amra'atika ‏\"‏‏.‏ qultu yaa rasuwla alllahi 'aa'ukhallafu ba'da 'ashaabiy qaala ‏\"‏ 'innaka lan tukhallafa fata'mala 'amalaan tabtaghiy bihi wajha alllahi 'ilaaa azdadta bihi darajahan warif'ahan، wala'allaka tukhallafu hattay yantafi'a bika 'aqwaamun wayudarra bika 'aakharuwna، alllahumma 'amdi l'ashaabiy hijratahum، walaa taruddahum 'alay 'a'qaabihim‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":40990,"english_bab_name":"Hajjat-ul-Wada","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated Sa`d:\n\n<p>The Prophet visited me during Hajjat ul-Wada` while I was suffering from a disease which brought \nme to the verge of death. I said, \"O Allah's Apostle! My ailment has reached such a (bad) state as you \nsee, and I have much wealth, but I have no-one to inherit from me except my only daughter. Shall I \ngive 2/3 of my property as alms (in charity)?\" The Prophet said, \"No,\" I said, \"Shall I give half of my \nproperty as alms?\" He said, \"No.\" I said, \"(Shall I give) 1/3 of it? \" He replied, \" 1/3, and even 1/3 is \ntoo much. It is better for you to leave your inheritors wealthy rather than to leave them poor, begging \npeople (for their sustenance); and whatever you spend for Allah's Sake, you will get reward for it even \nfor the morsel of food which you put in your wives mouth.\" I said, \"O Allah's Apostle! Should I \nremain (in Mecca) behind my companions (who are going with you to Medina)?\" The Prophet said, \n\"If you remain behind, any good deed which you will do for Allah's Sake, will upgrade and elevate \nyou. May be you will live longer so that some people may benefit by you and some other (i.e. infidels) \nmay get harmed by you.\" The Prophet then added, \"O Allah! Complete the Migration of my \ncompanions and do not turn them on their heels. But the poor Sa`d bin Khaula (not the above \nmentioned Sa`d) (died in Mecca) .\" Allah's Apostle pitied Sa`d for he died in Mecca.","english_grade":"Sahih","last_updated":null,"xrefs":""}
