{"id":30219,"collection_id":6,"collection":"ibnmajah","collection_name":"Sunan Ibn Majah","book_number":"1","bab_id":38.0,"english_bab_number":"38","arabic_bab_number":"38","hadith_number":"386","our_hadith_number":120,"arabic_urn":1304160,"arabic_bab_name":"باب الْوُضُوءِ بِمَاءِ الْبَحْرِ","arabic_text":"حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي صَفْوَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، - هُوَ مِنْ آلِ ابْنِ الأَزْرَقِ - أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، - وَهُوَ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ - حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا نَرْكَبُ الْبَحْرَ وَنَحْمِلُ مَعَنَا الْقَلِيلَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ فَإِنْ تَوَضَّأْنَا بِهِ عَطِشْنَا أَفَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَاءِ الْبَحْرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏\"‏ هُوَ الطَّهُورُ مَاؤُهُ الْحِلُّ مَيْتَتُهُ ‏\"‏ ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"haddathanaa hishaamu bnu 'ammaarin، haddathanaa maaliku bnu 'anasin، haddathaniy safwaanu bnu sulaymin، 'an sa'iydi bni salamaha، - huwa min 'aali abni al'azraqi - 'anna almughiyraha bna 'abiy burdaha، - wahuwa min baniy 'abdi alddaari - haddathahu 'annahu، sami'a 'abaa hurayraha، yaquwlu jaa'a rajulun 'ilay rasuwli alllahi  sly allh 'lyh wslm  faqaala yaa rasuwla alllahi 'innaa narkabu albahra wanahmilu ma'anaa alqaliyla mina almaa'i fa'in tawadda'naa bihi 'atishnaa 'afanatawadda'u min maa'i albahri faqaala rasuwlu alllahi  sly allh 'lyh wslm  ‏\"‏ huwa alttahuwru maa'uhu alhillu maytatuhu ‏\"‏ ‏.‏","arabic_grade":"","english_urn":1253850,"english_bab_name":"Ablution with seawater","english_text":"It was narrated that Mughirah bin Abu Burdah, who was from the tribe of Banu 'Abdud-Dar, said that:\nHe heard Abu Hurairah say: \"A man came to the Messenger of Allah and said: \"O Messenger of Allah, we travel by sea and carry a small amount of water with us. If we use it for ablution, we will become thirsty. Can we perform ablution with seawater?' The Messenger of Allah said: 'Its water is a means of purification, ad its dead meat is permissible.
