{"id":2766,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"61","bab_id":26.0,"english_bab_number":"26","arabic_bab_number":"26","hadith_number":"3635","our_hadith_number":139,"arabic_urn":132650,"arabic_bab_name":"بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {يَعْرِفُونَهُ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِنْهُمْ لَيَكْتُمُونَ الْحَقَّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ}","arabic_text":"‏ مَا تَجِدُونَ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ فِي شَأْنِ الرَّجْمِ ‏\"‏‏.‏ فَقَالُوا نَفْضَحُهُمْ وَيُجْلَدُونَ‏.‏ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ كَذَبْتُمْ، إِنَّ فِيهَا الرَّجْمَ‏.‏ فَأَتَوْا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَنَشَرُوهَا، فَوَضَعَ أَحَدُهُمْ يَدَهُ عَلَى آيَةِ الرَّجْمِ، فَقَرَأَ مَا قَبْلَهَا وَمَا بَعْدَهَا‏.‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ ارْفَعْ يَدَكَ‏.‏ فَرَفَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا فِيهَا آيَةُ الرَّجْمِ‏.‏ فَقَالُوا صَدَقَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ، فِيهَا آيَةُ الرَّجْمِ‏.‏ فَأَمَرَ بِهِمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَرُجِمَا‏.‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَرَأَيْتُ الرَّجُلَ يَجْنَأُ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ يَقِيهَا الْحِجَارَةَ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"‏ maa tajiduwna fiy alttawraahi fiy sha'ni alrrajmi ‏\"‏‏.‏ faqaaluwa nafdahuhum wayujladuwna‏.‏ faqaala 'abdu alllahi bnu salaamin kadhabtum، 'inna fiyhaa alrrajma‏.‏ fa'atawa bialttawraahi fanasharuwhaa، fawada'a 'ahaduhum yadahu 'alay 'aayahi alrrajmi، faqara'a maa qablahaa wamaa ba'dahaa‏.‏ faqaala lahu 'abdu alllahi bnu salaamin arfa' yadaka‏.‏ farafa'a yadahu fa'idhaa fiyhaa 'aayahu alrrajmi‏.‏ faqaaluwa sadaqa yaa muhammadu، fiyhaa 'aayahu alrrajmi‏.‏ fa'amara bihimaa rasuwlu alllahi sly allh 'lyh wslm farujimaa‏.‏ qaala 'abdu alllahi fara'aytu alrrajula yajna'u 'alay almar'ahi yaqiyhaa alhijaaraha‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":33930,"english_bab_name":"The Statement of Allah Ta'ala: \"Those to whom We gave the Scripture (Jews and Christians) recognize him (Muhammad (saws)) as they recognize their own sons ...\"","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:\n\n<p>The Jews came to Allah's Apostle and told him that a man and a woman from amongst them had \ncommitted illegal sexual intercourse. Allah's Apostle said to them, \"What do you find in the Torah \n(revelation given to Musa (as)) about the legal punishment of Ar-Rajm (stoning)?\" They replied, (But) we announce \ntheir crime and lash them.\" `Abdullah bin Salam said, \"You are telling a lie; Torah contains the order \nof Rajm.\" They brought and opened the Torah and one of them solaced his hand on the Verse of Rajm \nand read the verses preceding and following it. `Abdullah bin Salam said to him, \"Lift your hand.\" \nWhen he lifted his hand, the Verse of Rajm was written there. They said, \"Muhammad has told the \ntruth; the Torah has the Verse of Rajm. The Prophet then gave the order that both of them should be \nstoned to death.
