{"id":2683,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"61","bab_id":23.0,"english_bab_number":"23","arabic_bab_number":"23","hadith_number":"3547","our_hadith_number":56,"arabic_urn":131760,"arabic_bab_name":"باب صِفَةِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم","arabic_text":"كَانَ رَبْعَةً مِنَ الْقَوْمِ، لَيْسَ بِالطَّوِيلِ وَلاَ بِالْقَصِيرِ، أَزْهَرَ اللَّوْنِ لَيْسَ بِأَبْيَضَ أَمْهَقَ وَلاَ آدَمَ، لَيْسَ بِجَعْدٍ قَطَطٍ وَلاَ سَبْطٍ رَجِلٍ، أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ وَهْوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعِينَ، فَلَبِثَ بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ يُنْزَلُ عَلَيْهِ وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، وَلَيْسَ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ عِشْرُونَ شَعَرَةً بَيْضَاءَ‏.‏ قَالَ رَبِيعَةُ فَرَأَيْتُ شَعَرًا مِنْ شَعَرِهِ، فَإِذَا هُوَ أَحْمَرُ فَسَأَلْتُ فَقِيلَ احْمَرَّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"kaana rab'ahan mina alqawmi، laysa bialttawiyli walaa bialqasiyri، 'azhara alllawni laysa bi'abyada 'amhaqa walaa 'aadama، laysa bija'din qatatin walaa sabtin rajilin، 'unzila 'alayhi wahwa abnu 'arba'iyna، falabitha bimakkaha 'ashra siniyna yunzalu 'alayhi wabialmadiynahi 'ashra siniyna، walaysa fiy ra'sihi walihyatihi 'ishruwna sha'arahan baydaa'a‏.‏ qaala rabiy'ahu fara'aytu sha'arana min sha'arihi، fa'idhaa huwa 'ahmaru fasa'altu faqiyla ahmarra mina alttiybi‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":33110,"english_bab_name":"The description of the Prophet (saws)","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated Rabi`a bin Abi `Abdur-Rahman:\n\n<p>I heard Anas bin Malik describing the Prophet saying, \"He was of medium height amongst the people, \nneither tall nor short; he had a rosy color, neither absolutely white nor deep brown; his hair was \nneither completely curly nor quite lank. Divine Inspiration was revealed to him when he was forty \nyears old. He stayed ten years in Mecca receiving the Divine Inspiration, and stayed in Medina for ten \nmore years. When he expired, he had scarcely twenty white hairs in his head and beard.\" Rabi`a said, \n\"I saw some of his hairs and it was red.
