{"id":23683,"collection_id":4,"collection":"abudawud","collection_name":"Sunan Abi Dawud","book_number":"43","bab_id":45.0,"english_bab_number":"45","arabic_bab_number":"45","hadith_number":"4892","our_hadith_number":120,"arabic_urn":948950,"arabic_bab_name":"باب فِي السَّتْرِ عَنِ الْمُسْلِمِ","arabic_text":"حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَشِيطٍ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الْهَيْثَمِ، يَذْكُرُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ دُخَيْنًا، كَاتِبَ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ كَانَ لَنَا جِيرَانٌ يَشْرَبُونَ الْخَمْرَ فَنَهَيْتُهُمْ فَلَمْ يَنْتَهُوا فَقُلْتُ لِعُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ إِنَّ جِيرَانَنَا هَؤُلاَءِ يَشْرَبُونَ الْخَمْرَ وَإِنِّي نَهَيْتُهُمْ فَلَمْ يَنْتَهُوا فَأَنَا دَاعٍ لَهُمُ الشُّرَطَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ دَعْهُمْ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ رَجَعْتُ إِلَى عُقْبَةَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ جِيرَانَنَا قَدْ أَبَوْا أَنْ يَنْتَهُوا عَنْ شُرْبِ الْخَمْرِ وَأَنَا دَاعٍ لَهُمُ الشُّرَطَ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَيْحَكَ دَعْهُمْ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ مُسْلِمٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ لَيْثٍ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ لاَ تَفْعَلْ وَلَكِنْ عِظْهُمْ وَتَهَدَّدْهُمْ ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"haddathanaa muhammadu bnu yahyay، haddathanaa abnu 'abiy maryama، 'akhbaranaa alllaythu، qaala haddathaniy 'ibraahiymu bnu nashiytin، 'an ka'bi bni 'alqamaha، 'annahu sami'a 'abaa alhaythami، yadhkuru 'annahu sami'a dukhaynana، kaatiba 'uqbaha bni 'aamirin qaala kaana lanaa jiyraanun yashrabuwna alkhamra fanahaytuhum falam yantahuwa faqultu li'uqbaha bni 'aamirin 'inna jiyraananaa ha'ulaa'i yashrabuwna alkhamra wa'inniy nahaytuhum falam yantahuwa fa'anaa daa'in lahumu alshshurata ‏.‏ faqaala da'hum ‏.‏ thumma raja'tu 'ilay 'uqbaha marrahan 'ukhray faqultu 'inna jiyraananaa qad 'abawa 'an yantahuwa 'an shurbi alkhamri wa'anaa daa'in lahumu alshshurata ‏.‏ qaala wayhaka da'hum fa'inniy sami'tu rasuwla alllahi sly allh 'lyh wslm fadhakara ma'nay hadiythi muslimin ‏.‏ qaala 'abuw daawuda qaala haashimu bnu alqaasimi 'an laythin fiy hadhaa alhadiythi qaala laa taf'al walakin 'izhum watahaddadhum ‏.‏","arabic_grade":"ضعيف","english_urn":848740,"english_bab_name":"Concealing (the fault of) a Muslim","english_text":"<p>\r\n\r\nNarrated Uqbah ibn Amir:\r\n</p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n\r\nAbulHaytham quoted Dukhayn, the scribe of Uqbah ibn Amir, saying: We had some neighbours who used to drink wine. I forbade them, but they did not stop.  \r\n</p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n\r\nI then said to Uqbah ibn Amir: These neighbours of ours drink wine, and I tried to prevent them but they did not stop, and I am going to call the police about them.  \r\n</p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n\r\nHe said: Leave them.  \r\n</p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n\r\nI again came to Uqbah ibn Amir and said: Our neighbours have refused to refrain from drinking wine, and I am going to call the police for them.  \r\n</p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n\r\nHe said: Woe to thee! Leave them alone. I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: he then mentioned the tradition to the same effect as recorded above on the authority of the narrator Muslim.\r\n</p>\r\n<p>\r\nAbu Dawud said: In this version Hashim b. al-Qasim said on the authority of Laith: Do not do it, but preach them and threaten them.\r\n</p>","english_grade":"Da'if","last_updated":null,"xrefs":""}
