{"id":22606,"collection_id":4,"collection":"abudawud","collection_name":"Sunan Abi Dawud","book_number":"28","bab_id":37.0,"english_bab_number":"37","arabic_bab_number":"37","hadith_number":"3816","our_hadith_number":81,"arabic_urn":938190,"arabic_bab_name":"باب فِي الْمُضْطَرِّ إِلَى الْمَيْتَةِ","arabic_text":"حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، نَزَلَ الْحَرَّةَ وَمَعَهُ أَهْلُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ إِنَّ نَاقَةً لِي ضَلَّتْ فَإِنْ وَجَدْتَهَا فَأَمْسِكْهَا ‏.‏ فَوَجَدَهَا فَلَمْ يَجِدْ صَاحِبَهَا فَمَرِضَتْ فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ انْحَرْهَا ‏.‏ فَأَبَى فَنَفَقَتْ فَقَالَتِ اسْلُخْهَا حَتَّى نُقَدِّدَ شَحْمَهَا وَلَحْمَهَا وَنَأْكُلَهُ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ حَتَّى أَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَتَاهُ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ ‏\"‏ هَلْ عِنْدَكَ غِنًى يُغْنِيكَ ‏\"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ لاَ ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏\"‏ فَكُلُوهَا ‏\"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَجَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا فَأَخْبَرَهُ الْخَبَرَ فَقَالَ ‏\"‏ هَلاَّ كُنْتَ نَحَرْتَهَا ‏\"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ اسْتَحْيَيْتُ مِنْكَ ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"haddathanaa muwsay bnu 'ismaa'iyla، haddathanaa hammaadun، 'an simaaki bni harbin، 'an jaabiri bni samuraha، 'anna rajulaan، nazala alharraha wama'ahu 'ahluhu wawaladuhu faqaala rajulun 'inna naaqahan liy dallat fa'in wajadtahaa fa'amsikhaa ‏.‏ fawajadahaa falam yajid saahibahaa famaridat faqaalati amra'atuhu anharhaa ‏.‏ fa'abay fanafaqat faqaalati aslukhhaa hattay nuqaddida shahmahaa walahmahaa wana'kulahu ‏.‏ faqaala hattay 'as'ala rasuwla alllahi sly allh 'lyh wslm fa'ataahu fasa'alahu faqaala ‏\"‏ hal 'indaka ghinany yughniyka ‏\"‏ ‏.‏ qaala laa ‏.‏ qaala ‏\"‏ fakuluwhaa ‏\"‏ ‏.‏ qaala fajaa'a saahibuhaa fa'akhbarahu alkhabara faqaala ‏\"‏ halaaa kunta nahartahaa ‏\"‏ ‏.‏ qaala astahyaytu minka ‏.‏","arabic_grade":"حسن الإسناد","english_urn":838070,"english_bab_name":"Regarding one who is compelled by necessity to eat dead meat","english_text":"<p>\n\nNarrated Jabir ibn Samurah:\n</p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\nA man alighted at Harrah with his wife and children.  A man said (to him): My she-camel has strayed; if you find it, detain it.  \n</p>\n\n\n<p>\n\nHe found it, but did not find its owner, and it fell ill. His wife said: Slaughter it. But he refused and it died. \n</p>\n\n\n<p>\n\nShe said: Skin it so that we may dry its fat and flesh and then eat them.  \n</p>\n\n\n<p>\n\nHe said: Let me ask the Messenger of Allah (saws). So he came to him (the Prophet) and asked him.  He said: Have you sufficient for your needs?  He replied: No.  He then said: Then eat it. \n</p>\n\n\n<p>\n\nThen its owner came and he told him the story.  He said: Why did you not slaughter it?
