{"id":21468,"collection_id":4,"collection":"abudawud","collection_name":"Sunan Abi Dawud","book_number":"15","bab_id":124.0,"english_bab_number":"971","arabic_bab_number":"124","hadith_number":"2678","our_hadith_number":202,"arabic_urn":926810,"arabic_bab_name":"باب فِي الأَسِيرِ يُوثَقُ","arabic_text":"حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي الْحَجَّاجِ أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ مَكِيثٍ، قَالَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ غَالِبٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ وَكُنْتُ فِيهِمْ وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَشُنُّوا الْغَارَةَ عَلَى بَنِي الْمُلَوِّحِ بِالْكَدِيدِ فَخَرَجْنَا حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِالْكَدِيدِ لَقِينَا الْحَارِثَ بْنَ الْبَرْصَاءِ اللَّيْثِيَّ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا جِئْتُ أُرِيدُ الإِسْلاَمَ وَإِنَّمَا خَرَجْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْنَا إِنْ تَكُنْ مُسْلِمًا لَمْ يَضُرَّكَ رِبَاطُنَا يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً وَإِنْ تَكُنْ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ نَسْتَوْثِقْ مِنْكَ فَشَدَدْنَاهُ وِثَاقًا ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"haddathanaa 'abdu alllahi bnu 'amriw bni 'abiy alhajjaaji 'abuw ma'marin، haddathanaa 'abdu alwaarithi، haddathanaa muhammadu bnu 'ishaaqa، 'an ya'quwba bni 'utbaha، 'an muslimi bni 'abdi alllahi، 'an jundubi bni makiythin، qaala ba'atha rasuwlu alllahi sly allh 'lyh wslm 'abda alllahi bna ghaalibin alllaythiyya fiy sariyyahin wakuntu fiyhim wa'amarahum 'an yashunnuwa alghaaraha 'alay baniy almulawwihi bialkadiydi fakharajnaa hattay 'idhaa kunnaa bialkadiydi laqiynaa alhaaritha bna albarsaa'i alllaythiyya fa'akhadhnaahu faqaala 'innamaa ji'tu 'uriydu al'islaama wa'innamaa kharajtu 'ilay rasuwli alllahi sly allh 'lyh wslm faqulnaa 'in takun muslimana lam yadurraka ribaatunaa yawmana walaylahan wa'in takun ghayra dhalika nastawthiq minka fashadadnaahu withaaqana ‏.‏","arabic_grade":"ضعيف","english_urn":826720,"english_bab_name":"Regarding Shackling Captives","english_text":"<p>\n\nNarrated Jundub ibn Makith:\n</p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\nThe Messenger of Allah (saws) sent Abdullah ibn Ghalib al-Laythi along with a detachment and I was also with them. He ordered them to attach Banu al-Mulawwih from all sides at al-Kadid.  So we went out and when we reached al-Kadid we met al-Harith ibn al-Barsa al-Laythi, and seized him. He said: I came with the intention of embracing Islam, and I came out to go to the Messenger of Allah (saws). We said: If you are a Muslim, there is no harm if we keep you in chains for a day and night; and if you are not, we shall tie you with chains.
