{"id":1107,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"24","bab_id":14.0,"english_bab_number":"14","arabic_bab_number":"14","hadith_number":"1421","our_hadith_number":25,"arabic_urn":113200,"arabic_bab_name":"باب إِذَا تَصَدَّقَ عَلَى غَنِيٍّ وَهُوَ لاَ يَعْلَمُ","arabic_text":"اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ لأَتَصَدَّقَنَّ بِصَدَقَةٍ‏.‏ فَخَرَجَ بِصَدَقَتِهِ فَوَضَعَهَا فِي يَدَىْ زَانِيَةٍ، فَأَصْبَحُوا يَتَحَدَّثُونَ تُصُدِّقَ اللَّيْلَةَ عَلَى زَانِيَةٍ‏.‏ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى زَانِيَةٍ، لأَتَصَدَّقَنَّ بِصَدَقَةٍ‏.‏ فَخَرَجَ بِصَدَقَتِهِ فَوَضَعَهَا فِي يَدَىْ غَنِيٍّ فَأَصْبَحُوا يَتَحَدَّثُونَ تُصُدِّقَ عَلَى غَنِيٍّ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ، عَلَى سَارِقٍ وَعَلَى زَانِيَةٍ وَعَلَى غَنِيٍّ‏.‏ فَأُتِيَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَمَّا صَدَقَتُكَ عَلَى سَارِقٍ فَلَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَسْتَعِفَّ عَنْ سَرِقَتِهِ، وَأَمَّا الزَّانِيَةُ فَلَعَلَّهَا أَنْ تَسْتَعِفَّ عَنْ زِنَاهَا، وَأَمَّا الْغَنِيُّ فَلَعَلَّهُ يَعْتَبِرُ فَيُنْفِقُ مِمَّا أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ ‏\"","arabic_transliteration":"alllahumma laka alhamdu l'atasaddaqanna bisadaqahin‏.‏ fakharaja bisadaqatihi fawada'ahaa fiy yaday zaaniyahin، fa'asbahuwa yatahaddathuwna tusuddiqa alllaylaha 'alay zaaniyahin‏.‏ faqaala alllahumma laka alhamdu 'alay zaaniyahin، l'atasaddaqanna bisadaqahin‏.‏ fakharaja bisadaqatihi fawada'ahaa fiy yaday ghaniyyin fa'asbahuwa yatahaddathuwna tusuddiqa 'alay ghaniyyin faqaala alllahumma laka alhamdu، 'alay saariqin wa'alay zaaniyahin wa'alay ghaniyyin‏.‏ fa'utiya faqiyla lahu 'ammaa sadaqatuka 'alay saariqin fala'allahu 'an yasta'iffa 'an sariqatihi، wa'ammaa alzzaaniyahu fala'allahaa 'an tasta'iffa 'an zinaahaa، wa'ammaa alghaniyyu fala'allahu ya'tabiru fayunfiqu mimmaa 'a'taahu alllahu ‏\"","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":13400,"english_bab_name":"If one gives an object of charity to a wealthy person unknowingly","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated Abu Huraira:\n\n<p>Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, \"A man said that he would give something in charity. He went out with \nhis object of charity and unknowingly gave it to a thief. Next morning the people said that he had \ngiven his object of charity to a thief. (On hearing that) he said, \"O Allah! All the praises are for you. I \nwill give alms again.\" And so he again went out with his alms and (unknowingly) gave it to an \nadulteress. Next morning the people said that he had given his alms to an adulteress last night. The \nman said, \"O Allah! All the praises are for you. (I gave my alms) to an adulteress. I will give alms \nagain.\" So he went out with his alms again and (unknowingly) gave it to a rich person. (The people) \nnext morning said that he had given his alms to a wealthy person. He said, \"O Allah! All the praises \nare for you. (I had given alms) to a thief, to an adulteress and to a wealthy man.\" Then someone came \nand said to him, \"The alms which you gave to the thief, might make him abstain from stealing, and \nthat given to the adulteress might make her abstain from illegal sexual intercourse (adultery), and that \ngiven to the wealthy man might make him take a lesson from it and spend his wealth which Allah has \ngiven him, in Allah's cause.\"","english_grade":"Sahih","last_updated":null,"xrefs":""}
