{"id":1093,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"24","bab_id":4.0,"english_bab_number":"4","arabic_bab_number":"4","hadith_number":"1406","our_hadith_number":11,"arabic_urn":113040,"arabic_bab_name":"باب مَا أُدِّيَ زَكَاتُهُ فَلَيْسَ بِكَنْزٍ","arabic_text":"مَا أَنْزَلَكَ مَنْزِلَكَ هَذَا قَالَ كُنْتُ بِالشَّأْمِ، فَاخْتَلَفْتُ أَنَا وَمُعَاوِيَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ وَلاَ يُنْفِقُونَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ‏.‏ قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ نَزَلَتْ فِي أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ‏.‏ فَقُلْتُ نَزَلَتْ فِينَا وَفِيهِمْ‏.‏ فَكَانَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ فِي ذَاكَ، وَكَتَبَ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَشْكُونِي، فَكَتَبَ إِلَىَّ عُثْمَانُ أَنِ اقْدَمِ الْمَدِينَةَ‏.‏ فَقَدِمْتُهَا فَكَثُرَ عَلَىَّ النَّاسُ حَتَّى كَأَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَرَوْنِي قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَاكَ لِعُثْمَانَ فَقَالَ لِي إِنْ شِئْتَ تَنَحَّيْتَ فَكُنْتَ قَرِيبًا‏.‏ فَذَاكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَنِي هَذَا الْمَنْزِلَ، وَلَوْ أَمَّرُوا عَلَىَّ حَبَشِيًّا لَسَمِعْتُ وَأَطَعْتُ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"maa 'anzalaka manzilaka hadhaa qaala kuntu bialshsha'mi، faakhtalaftu 'anaa wamu'aawiyahu fiy alladhiyna yaknizuwna aldhdhahaba waalfiddaha walaa yunfiquwnahaa fiy sabiyli alllahi‏.‏ qaala mu'aawiyahu nazalat fiy 'ahli alkitaabi‏.‏ faqultu nazalat fiynaa wafiyhim‏.‏ fakaana bayniy wabaynahu fiy dhaaka، wakataba 'ilay 'uthmaana  rdy allh 'nh  yashkuwniy، fakataba 'ilayya 'uthmaanu 'ani aqdami almadiynaha‏.‏ faqadimtuhaa fakathura 'alayya alnnaasu hattay ka'annahum lam yarawniy qabla dhalika، fadhakartu dhaaka li'uthmaana faqaala liy 'in shi'ta tanahhayta fakunta qariybana‏.‏ fadhaaka alladhiy 'anzalaniy hadhaa almanzila، walaw 'ammaruwa 'alayya habashiyyana lasami'tu wa'ata'tu‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":13260,"english_bab_name":"A property from which the Zakat is paid is not Al-Kanz (hoarded-money)","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated Zaid bin Wahab:\n\n<p>I passed by a place called Ar-Rabadha and by chance I met Abu Dhar and asked him, \"What has \nbrought you to this place?\" He said, \"I was in Sham and differed with Muawiya on the meaning of \n(the following verses of the Qur'an): 'They who hoard up gold and silver and spend them not in the \nway of Allah.' (9.34). Muawiya said, 'This verse is revealed regarding the people of the scriptures.\" I \nsaid, It was revealed regarding us and also the people of the scriptures.\" So we had a quarrel and \nMu'awiya sent a complaint against me to `Uthman. `Uthman wrote to me to come to Medina, and I \ncame to Medina. Many people came to me as if they had not seen me before. So I told this to `Uthman \nwho said to me, \"You may depart and live nearby if you wish.\" That was the reason for my being here \nfor even if an Ethiopian had been nominated as my ruler, I would have obeyed him .","english_grade":"Sahih","last_updated":null,"xrefs":""}
