{"id":1047,"collection_id":1,"collection":"bukhari","collection_name":"Sahih al-Bukhari","book_number":"23","bab_id":80.0,"english_bab_number":"80","arabic_bab_number":"80","hadith_number":"1360","our_hadith_number":113,"arabic_urn":112530,"arabic_bab_name":"باب إِذَا قَالَ الْمُشْرِكُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ","arabic_text":"قُلْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، كَلِمَةً أَشْهَدُ لَكَ بِهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ‏\"‏‏.‏ فَقَالَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ يَا أَبَا طَالِبٍ، أَتَرْغَبُ عَنْ مِلَّةِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَعْرِضُهَا عَلَيْهِ، وَيَعُودَانِ بِتِلْكَ الْمَقَالَةِ، حَتَّى قَالَ أَبُو طَالِبٍ آخِرَ مَا كَلَّمَهُمْ هُوَ عَلَى مِلَّةِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، وَأَبَى أَنْ يَقُولَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ‏.‏ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏\"‏ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لأَسْتَغْفِرَنَّ لَكَ، مَا لَمْ أُنْهَ عَنْكَ ‏\"‏‏.‏ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِيهِ ‏{‏مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ‏}‏ الآيَةَ‏.‏","arabic_transliteration":"qul laa 'ilaha 'ilaaa alllahu، kalimahan 'ashhadu laka bihaa 'inda alllahi ‏\"‏‏.‏ faqaala 'abuw jahlin wa'abdu alllahi bnu 'abiy 'umayyaha yaa 'abaa taalibin، 'atarghabu 'an millahi 'abdi almuttalibi falam yazal rasuwlu alllahi sly allh 'lyh wslm ya'riduhaa 'alayhi، waya'uwdaani bitilka almaqaalahi، hattay qaala 'abuw taalibin 'aakhira maa kallamahum huwa 'alay millahi 'abdi almuttalibi، wa'abay 'an yaquwla laa 'ilaha 'ilaaa alllahu‏.‏ faqaala rasuwlu alllahi sly allh 'lyh wslm ‏\"‏ 'amaa waalllahi l'astaghfiranna laka، maa lam 'unha 'anka ‏\"‏‏.‏ fa'anzala alllahu ta'aalay fiyhi ‏{‏maa kaana lilnnabiyyi‏}‏ al'aayaha‏.‏","arabic_grade":"صحيح","english_urn":12800,"english_bab_name":"If Al-Mushrik says, \"La ilaha illallah\" at the time of his death","english_text":"<p>\nNarrated Sa`id bin Al-Musaiyab from his father:\n\n<p>When the time of the death of Abu Talib approached, Allah's Apostle went to him and found Abu Jahl \nbin Hisham and `Abdullah bin Abi Umaiya bin Al-Mughira by his side. Allah's Apostle said to Abu \nTalib, \"O uncle! Say: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, a sentence with which I shall be \na witness (i.e. argue) for you before Allah. Abu Jahl and `Abdullah bin Abi Umaiya said, \"O Abu \nTalib! Are you going to denounce the religion of `Abdul Muttalib?\" Allah's Apostle kept on inviting \nAbu Talib to say it (i.e. 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah') while they (Abu Jahl and \n`Abdullah) kept on repeating their statement till Abu Talib said as his last statement that he was on the \nreligion of `Abdul Muttalib and refused to say, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' (Then \nAllah's Apostle said, \"I will keep on asking Allah's forgiveness for you unless I am forbidden (by \nAllah) to do so.\" So Allah revealed (the verse) concerning him (i.e. It is not fitting for the Prophet and \nthose who believe that they should invoke (Allah) for forgiveness for pagans even though they be of \nkin, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of the fire (9.113).","english_grade":"Sahih","last_updated":null,"xrefs":""}
